OverviewThis opportunity is part of the Global Technology
Commercial Product & Platform where our vision is to develop
technology that delight our customers and enable our crews to
operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.The Director,
Global Technical Resourcing role will report to the Sr. Director,
Global Technical Resourcing Optimization and will be responsible
for working with each of the Global Technology (GT) Tower Leaders
to drive resource optimization. This includes coordinating with
tech leaders across the globe in making decisions around insourcing
vs. outsourcing, on-shore vs. near-shore vs. off-shore and provide
guidance on our overall global location strategy. All resourcing
decisions need to be in-line with each GT tower strategy and
deliver on value realization goals.Accountabilities &
Responsibilities
- This role serves as a starting point for the overall function
to be stood up in the long-term.
- Daily work will focus on engaging with the Tower Leaders and
their respective teams to calibrate on go-forward resource
strategies.
- Planning for mix of resources needed geographically, In-house
talent bench vs outsourced work, on-going demand vs. resource
supply.
- Focus on developing optimal resourcing plans at a tower level,
balancing resource mix and value creation.
- Managing hiring outcomes to plan - partnering with talent
attraction, GBS to ensure hiring needs are met and get guidance on
local issues (applicable for new MCC locations).
- Partnering with Finance in identifying resourcing related risk
to value outcomes and developing mitigation plans (with GT
owners).
- Establishing a disciplined resource management methodology
(demand-supply interlock, strategic workforce planning),
development of tools and analytics as needed.
- Defining the "art of the possible" around technical resourcing
- matching supply and demand in creative ways
- Have a macro view on the operational and financial challenges
of resourcing roles, and to understand the dynamic of certain
technical roles that should outsourced versus those that should be
that have a strategic role within the company.
- Engage with location leadership across the globe, VMO, Global
People, finance and tower leaders on plans, and drive decisions
that best align to resourcing goals.
- Collaborate with leaders on establishing plans for resourcing
and provide guidance on not only the roles where cost cutting
should be applied, but also where additional spending makes
sense.
- Engage with HR and Talent Attraction in ensuring the demand is
locked in line with appropriate lead time to post and hire
roles.
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and analyze
technology resource utilization, productivity, and
performance.Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience with technology strategy development
including resourcing
- Bachelor's degree required but MBA preferred
- Knowledge of global locations - ideally someone with experience
in countries with capability centers
- Ability to influence the organization to coalesce around a
strategy; offering expertise and solutions that may be new to team
members
- Experience with developing technical resourcing business/value
cases with evidenced productivity improvements
- Experience with owning the overall messaging and communications
around deploying a technical resourcing strategy for a global
company
- Working knowledge of the implications and challenges around
setting up global centers (eg operating models, tax implications,
legal, real estate etc)
- Experience building trading companies or multi-country legal
entity structures for technology or shared services is a plus
- Ability to lead and manage small team that delivers
