This opportunity offers two paraprofessional positions within an elementary school setting located in Northbrook, IL. These roles provide vital support to students with special education needs, ensuring they receive individualized attention and assistance throughout the school day. Ideal candidates will hold an IEIN paraprofessional certification issued by ISBE and have a passion for contributing to a positive learning environment. Position Details: Location: Northbrook, IL (On-site) School: Elementary level within a public school district Contract Duration: ASAP through June 8, 2026 Hours: Approximately 32.5 hours weekly Number of Openings: 2 Role Type: Contract, full-time engagement Responsibilities: Provide substitute paraprofessional support in the mornings, covering for absent staff members Deliver scheduled push-in paraprofessional support for IEP students within general education classrooms during the afternoons Support students in self-contained Special Learning Environments, focusing on individualized care and attention Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and special education staff to implement instructional plans and behavioral supports Qualifications: IEIN paraprofessional certification issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Experience working with special education students in elementary school settings preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt to varied classroom environments, including both substitute roles and dedicated support positions Benefits: Meaningful role supporting students educational and developmental growth Structured schedule with consistent hours On-site work in a collaborative school environment Interested candidates who meet the certification requirements and seek a rewarding paraprofessional role are encouraged to apply.
