You review the job traveler, stage tools and fixtures, and bring a CNC mill, lathe, or Swiss-style machine online for its next production run. Your first-piece inspection confirms the setup is dialed in; a few thoughtful offsets, and the parts begin flowing—accurate, repeatable, and on time. Throughout the run, you keep a close eye on quality while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work cell. What You’ll Tackle Set up CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss-style equipment for production runs. Verify tooling, fixtures, and materials; ensure proper alignment before first cut. Perform first-article inspections and make offsets or adjustments as needed. Monitor production for quality and dimensional accuracy from start to finish. Uphold a clean, safe, and well-organized work area. What You Bring Hands-on CNC setup experience, ideally with mills, lathes, or Swiss machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and confidently use precision measuring tools. Comfort making machine offsets and troubleshooting minor production issues.
