The Director of Supply Chain Program Management CHP is responsible for collaborating with the Consumer Home Products (CHP) Business Group leaders and Operations' core functional leaders to develop the CHP operations strategy that delivers an unprecedented customer experience, while increasing productivity, and efficiencies in working capital. This individual will collaborate with CHP BG Engineering and Product Management, and Operations Core functions to develop and execute a product line simplification roadmap and product platform and component re-use strategy. Design and execute a "Design For Value" program that improves customer experience, productivity, and cash flow. Partner with core function's line leaders (in sourcing, SIOP, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, order management, customer support, and service) to:

  • Prioritize CHP customer experience (CX) issues and initiatives--
  • Problem solve with operations site and functional leaders, supporting these line leaders in their execution of day to day activities, and coordinating activities between them and the CP BG
  • Develop a high performing matrix team that drives operational excellence and accelerates profitable growth, meeting customer and shareholder commitments
  • Develop policies, procedures, and capital, technology and resource plans to support initiatives
  • Lead the design and execution of fulfillment strategy for CHP Lifestyle offering, including sourcing, logistics (pick, pack, ship), and service. Coordinate with third party partners for execution, as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with cross functional leaders (HR, Finance, Sales/Marketing, IT, Engineering) to impact customer experience (quality, speed, ease) and shareholder value (growth, productivity, cash). RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborate across the CHP BG leadership team and the Operations core functional leaders (Supply Chain, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Lean CI, QHSEE, Service, LATAM) to develop operations strategy, initiatives, processes and technologies to strengthen CHP customers' experience and shareholders' productivity and cash.
    • Evaluate the current end-to-end process and systems to design future state processes and tools to enhance the customer experience.
    • Collaborate with CHP BG leadership team and Operations core functional leaders (Supply Chain, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Lean CI, QHSEE, Service, LATAM, IT, HR) to identify and prioritize issues and solutions.
    • Partner with core functional leaders to problem solve high priority CHP issues/opportunities, particularly where they are unique to B2C and retail business. Actively drive continuous improvement across CHP BG customer experience and operational processes, in partnership with functional matrix leaders.
    • Ensure product, material and information streams flow and are synchronized to produce differentiated CX, increasing productivity, and improving working capital.
    • Design and implement product platform simplification roadmap, identifying assembly and component modularity and re-use to drive customer quality, delivery and speed, while improving profitability and inventory.
    • Design and implement CHP Lifestyle end-to-end operations strategy, including supply chain (demand planning, materials planning, inventory management), sourcing, logistics (distribution and transportation), and service (order management, customer support, customer service). Create partnerships with third parties to support quality, speed, ease, profitability and DIOH of Lifestyle product assortment.
    • Facilitate communication/interactions between CHP and core functional team members in Operations and Engineering. Effectively resolve differences and/or conflicts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:-- ---Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology or related field-- ---Retail operations experience in sourcing, supply chain planning, logistics (warehousing, transportation), customer care, and/or manufacturing. ---8 years influential leadership experience ---A solid track record for performance and progression within logistics, sourcing, planning, manufacturing, and/or order management and customer support ---Demonstrated strong understanding and use of lean tools to drive improvements and eliminate waste PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:-- ---Supply chain experience in demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, order management, customer support, or service ---Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies ---Experience in collaborating with multiple sites, 3rd party sourced product suppliers and functions to drive common solutions ---Professional manner and personal maturity ---Sound business acumen operating in High Mix, Low Volume make to stock production and purchasing environments ---Demonstrated agility and ability to drive multiple initiatives in parallel. Strong organization and time management skills ---Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data ---Strong problem-solving skills: ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions ---Experience working in international organizations ---Strong verbal and written communication competencies ---Knowledge of and experience using ERP/MRP systems (i.e. SAP/ORACLE, CRM, PLM, SIOP/IBP, WMS Other Duties as assigned and the following:-- ---Direct operations to meet budget and other financial goals ---Direct short-term and long-range Operational planning and budget development to support strategic business goals ---Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services ---Participate in acquisition and integration activities to support overall business objectives and plans ---Establish regular operating cadence to ensure alignment and progress to set priorities ---Actively drive continuous improvement across all business processes in order to synergize the local operations with international standards ---Build a high-performance team - Develop and coach employees through skill development, training and evaluation to achieve SMART goals and objectives ---Develop and deploy strategies that support operational excellence and long-range plans (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness) ---Organizes and prioritizes work assignment to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance ---Provides and facilitates communication/interactions among team members, between teams and other areas. Resolves differences and/or conflict situations effectively ---Establish and maintain a solid understanding of the broad business. Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance or area and the total business ---Demonstrate personal flexibility in approach and ideas and responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ---Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication. ---Experience working in an operations that is growing, and building a pack and ship process. ---Ability to understand business objectives and develop and manage KPIs for measurement of success. ---Excellent listening & influencing skills. ---Technical excellence with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. ---Experience with SAP ---Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret data. ---Critical thinking and problem resolution skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:-- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
