RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Associate Director of Information Technology will:
- Lead, in an inclusive and integrated manner, technology services
to support the operations and infrastructure of CESA 1's
educational and business operations in order to improve educational
equity, learning, staff capacity, service level quality, and cost
effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and vision for the strategic development and
management of instructional technology, computing information
systems, network communications, telecommunications, media
services, instructional applications, information security systems,
and CESA 1's technology infrastructure.
- Recommend, evaluate, develop, and implement technology support
systems for CESA 1's mission, strategic priorities, goals, and
objectives.
- Direct, coordinate, and facilitate tasks needed to affect
comprehensive integration of appropriate technology to support
Agency operations.
- Provide leadership in identifying, assessing, and managing
technology needs and staff training for CESA 1's student
programs.
- Facilitate, support, and leverage the Agency's technology
planning, while maintaining established processes and
protocols.
- Oversee CESA 1's network infrastructure to ensure the stability,
reliability, and security of systems, data, applications, and
information, as well as to meet the changing technology demands of
Central Office and educational program sites.
- Oversee and manage all outsourced technology services.
- Develop and maintain processes for technology procurement that
include clearly defining requirements, evaluating, and maintaining
vendor and partner relationships.
- Propose current and long-range goals and objectives.
- Conferring with the Technology Committee, develop and monitor the
department's budget.
- Provide staff supervision and coordination, including work
prioritization, professional development, coaching, monitoring, and
evaluating.
- Oversee the selection, creation, and implementation of data
reporting tools, online learning management, and website/virtual
conferencing tools.
- Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures related
to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support,
security, and backup.
- Evaluate technology-related projects, programs, and/or products
to ensure that they are of the highest quality and meet Agency,
state, national, and/or grant guidelines. Recommend modifications
to the Director as necessary.
- Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, improve
customer service, streamline and re-engineer work processes, and
remain current with trends and emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience as an administrator in a district /
school
- Proven experience leading information technology initiatives and
programming in a school district.
- Experience leading professional development modeling best
practices for adult learning
- Passionate about improving education for all learners.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Innovative thinker, continually looking for ways to improve
processes, programs, and outcomes.
- Self-directed learner; actively adds to his or her own knowledge
and skill base.
- Strong service acumen, strives to help others.
