At Generac, we collaborate, share successes, and promote a drive to win while respecting others and supporting growth.The Sr Manager of 3PL Warehousing directs the policies, procedures, and operational aspects of the third-party (3PL) distribution centers and vendors to ensure the timely and the cost efficiency of the pick, pack and ship operations across the Generac's 3PL distribution networks. The Sr Manager of 3PL Warehousing will also promote and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiencies throughout the operations, from ideation to implementation, as well as drive implementation of new technologies such as WMS, automation and conveying equipment with our vendor partners. This position provides strategic oversight to the 3PL process, driving continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve financial performance and meet customer expectations. The Sr Manager of 3PL Warehousing will oversee all 3PL vendors across all North America facilities ( US, Mexico & Canada ).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Change manage, and execute optimization of Generac's global, make-to-stock finished goods and raw materials 3PL warehouse footprint.* Optimize service and total cost of ownership across multiple 3PL vendors with a focus on cost productivity.* Collaborate with manufacturing, supply, and logistics leaders across strategic business groups to assess needs, identify price and consumption opportunities, and develop processes to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives* Develop, implement, and continuously improve warehouse metrics, policies, processes, and technologies to achieve people, quality, velocity, productivity, and productivity objectives.* Identify and implement standardized metrics, tools, and processes to continuously improve transportation sourcing and supplier performance, transportation execution performance, and distribution execution performance* Vets 3PL designs and directs processes by which vendor partners performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.* Manage all 3PL contracts, metrics reporting, invoice management and budgeting.* Oversee, monitor, coach and problem solve to deliver improvements in Generac's 3PL distribution and transportation costs, cash, lead-time, and service with our warehouse operator base (outsourced/3PL* Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches, and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary.* Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.Minimum Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR equivalent experience* 10 years of 3PL management experience in distribution, distribution operations excellence, 3PL/4PL management, and distribution and transportation technologies (WMS, TMS, FBAP)* 5 years' leadership experience managing teams across a global multi-site 3PL distribution networkPreferred Qualifications:* Lean, Operations or Supply Chain CertificationsKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:* Demonstrated implementation experience in and results from Lean principles and methods* Experience designing and delivering training* Experience implementing automated manufacturing processes and systems* Experience with software solutions (ERP: SAP/Oracle, WMS)* Information management experience including analysis of data* Demonstrated experience in leadership with a diversity of team skillsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Office Environment.
