We have manufacturing and technical facilities in the United States, Canada, China, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.Description:This individual will be a leader on the Direct Procurement team, overseeing multiple categories of direct spend. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, preferably with knowledge of industrial manufacturing.The role involves managing contract negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives (e.g., RFPs). The candidate will collaborate with global stakeholders at all levels, document results, manage escalations, and address concerns.The candidate will partner with Direct Procurement leadership to review processes, reporting, and plan for growth. They will help shape policies and processes across business units. This position is vital for advancing procurement, maximizing supplier value, and optimizing pricing and terms.We foster a collaborative culture that values project management, attention to detail, and a positive spirit. • Lead strategic procurement for categories such as heaters, bearings, and motors.
• Execute sourcing initiatives and lead RFPs based on opportunities.
• Develop innovative, stakeholder-informed category strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement within the spend portfolio, optimizing demand.
• Identify opportunities outside current accountabilities, collaborating to create value.
• Contribute to process improvements within the department.
• Identify and consolidate rogue or maverick spend.
• Work with Legal to develop compliant contracts.
• Ensure data accuracy in procurement systems.
• Conduct supplier due diligence and manage onboarding.
• Document initiatives and maintain supplier records.Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or Logistics.
  • Experience in sourcing and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of contract development and legal standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
