      Job Scope: At Kenneth Young Center, we are looking for a strategic and compassionate behavioral health executive with extensive experience leading integrated, community-based programs that serve individuals across the lifespan. Demonstrated success in advancing trauma-informed, person-centered care models within nonprofit and safety-net settings. Committed to fostering health equity, expanding access to care, and building collaborative partnerships that support whole-person wellness.
      Program Responsibilities:

      • Strategic and Operational Leadership:

        • Develop and implement a unified vision for behavioral health services that aligns with KYC's mission of personalized prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery.


        • Clinical Oversight:

          • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care across programs such as outpatient therapy, mobile crisis response, psychosocial rehabilitation, and community-based recovery services.


          • Program Development:

            • Expand and innovate services, including harm reduction initiatives, SMART Recovery groups, and LGBTQ+ affirming care.


            • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

              • Maintain adherence to regulatory standards, including those set by the Joint Commission, and ensure programs meet grant and contract requirements.


              • Supervise and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
              • Leadership and Vision:

                • Guide teams through change, set strategic priorities, and inspire innovation in service delivery.


                • Operational Excellence:

                  • Manage budgets, optimize workflows, and leverage data for decision making.


                  • Community Engagement:

                    • Build partnerships with stakeholders including healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.


                    • Cultural Competency:

                      • Ensure services are inclusive and responsive to diverse populations and community needs.


                      • Regulatory Knowledge:

                        • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in behavioral health.


                        • Implement practices that recognize and respond to the impact of trauma on clients' lives.
                        • Integrated Care Models:

                          • Promote coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary care services.


                          • Evidence-Based Practices:

                            • Utilize interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).


                            • Youth and Family Engagement:

                              • Develop programs that support youth empowerment and family involvement in treatment.


                              • Recovery-Oriented Systems:

                                • Focus on client strengths and support long-term recovery goals.



                                  Education and Experience

                                  • Masters level degree with significant experience in behavioral health
                                  • Top-tier business and operational experience
                                  • Proven track record of creating value-based accountability
                                  • Flexible, resourceful, and positive-oriented outcome
                                  • High integrity, ethics, and values - trusted without reservation.

                                    Schedule/Time Keeping/Time-Off

                                    • Must work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served, including evening and Saturday hours.
                                    • Accurately record hours worked in the electronic timekeeping system (preferably daily) in accordance with policy and practice.
