$50,000.00 - $65,000.00Purpose: The Laundry Manager (LM) will
oversee the daily operations of the laundry facility to ensure the
highest standard of cleanliness, efficiency, and service quality.
This role involves managing the laundry team, maintaining
equipment, and ensuring all linens are cleaned and cared for
according to established standards. The LM is responsible for
budget management, inventory control, equipment maintenance,
negotiating and securing customer contracts, and implementing
operational strategies to improve productivity and
efficiency.Primary Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Managing the
Business:The Laundry Manager (LM) will work 8 to 10+ hours per
shift, 5 or 6+ days each week, based on occupancy and staffing
demand. Holidays and weekends are affected by peak demand which
means all team members must work together during those days to keep
Laundry Operations running efficiently.
- Direct and oversee daily operations including, but not limited
to, team management, coordinating laundry processes, quality
assurance, handling customer relations, ensuring equipment
maintenance, and managing inventory and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain chemicals, washers, dryers, irons, and
folding machines to maintain correct loading sequence in order to
attain maximum productivity.
- Enforce compliance with established laundry and safety
regulations and procedures within the laundry facility and during
transportation.
- Perform essential accounting, payroll, and purchasing duties to
support financial and operation success.
- Manage outside contractors and subcontractors, vendors and
other hospitality companies who may have contracts regarding
laundry services.
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate and/or
lead in safety training. Ensures compliance through system
ownership.
- Inspect laundered items, buildings, vehicles, and equipment to
ensure they meet quality standards and address any issues promptly
and professionally.
- Develop and train operators of all equipment to ensure
consistent performance.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry operations including, but
not limited to, inventory of laundry supplies and equipment,
maintenance, payroll, financial records, accurate and up-to-date
customer contracts and agreements, and staff performance.
- Work with property managers to fulfill linen/terry and other
related business needs.
- Focus on achieving minimal breakdowns and efficient maintenance
costs, adhering to budget guidelines for expenses, labor, and
maintenance goals.
- Ensuring timely and efficient processing of linens and other
laundry items.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and report any
equipment breakdowns or suspected concerns immediately.
- Responsible for the security of the laundry plant.
- Respond to action items and guest-related items or problems
promptly and effectively to prevent reoccurrence.
- Facilitate the delivery of linen packages to customer
contracted properties by guest's scheduled arrival.
- Develop weekly schedules to effectively manage timekeeping to
ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
- Provide laundry team members with resources they need to do the
job.
- Work with local health department, fire inspector, and other
state or local agencies to maintain compliance.
- Train and transition to electronic files where applicable to my
responsibilities.
- Ensure work schedules are in compliance with Global Chemical
and Linen (GCL), State, and FLSA federal guidelines.
- Interact with team members and guests in a positive and
friendly manner during all shifts, in all situations.
- Compliance with TOSHA certification, biohazards procedures, and
responsibilities for safety in handling.
- Knowledge and ability to comply with all company operating
policies and procedures.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and/or
assigned.
- Management reserves the right to change, remove or add to these
duties as necessary.Team Members:
- To develop, administer, monitor, and evaluate training
objectives for GCL/Laundry Operations.
- Create two-way communication with team members by providing
regular feedback and immediate instruction when necessary.
- Assist in recruiting to evaluate potential candidates, adhering
to all federal and state labor laws as well as company policies and
procedures for employment.
- Address team member issues promptly and professionally in a
manner that is consistent with GCL's core values.
- Conduct regular and meaningful performance reviews in such a
manner that promotes open two-way communication.
- Be a coach for GCL's most valuable resources - its team

- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft software, including
Outlook and Excel which is required.Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5 or more years of progressive management experience with 3 or
more years directly supervising 15 team members is required.
Leading and managing 16 or more team members is preferred.
- Experience in commercial laundry operations, including
knowledge of equipment, chemicals, and processes or in a relevant
field.
- Sustained demonstrated leadership experience managing change
within a department, while building a high-performing, energized
Team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be on company
insurance.

crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50
pounds daily on their own. Work environment will consist of both
inside and outside depending on the needs of the property. Some
work will be performed in linen/laundry environment working with
chemicals and various cleaning equipment. Ability to tolerate
various temperatures while working outdoors with exposure to high
or low temperatures, sun, humidity, chemicals, chlorine, and water.
Some work will be performed indoors and/or in an indoor office
environment. Stand and walk for the majority of the day.Collier
