Job Details Company Overview Overview SUMMARY The Safety and Training Manager oversees the overall safety compliance of the location and manages the training and development of all staff. This position will be focused on planning, directing and coordinating the established safety and training plans to reduce and eliminate employee injuries and customer property damage. Responsibilities Essential Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to): - Responsible for promoting a culture of zero accidents and injuries. Works closely with the General Manager to provide the tools to the employees to work safely and prevent aircraft and/or company equipment damage. Immediately reports any unsafe conditions/behaviors and ensures unsafe condition is resolved in a timely matter. - Responsible for leading the efforts of the safety observation program. Frequently reviews all safety observations to ensure active participation by all management representatives. Ensures coaching moments or progressive disciplinary action that represent an unsafe condition are appropriately addressed. Lastly, ensures any corporate safety observation initiative or target is achieved. - Develops internal controls to ensure employees do not perform any task without being properly training and evaluated. - Responsible for workplace injury first response to include reporting the injury, getting the employee medical treatment at the Company occupational medical clinic, and ensuring the post treatment disposition addresses modified duty work. - Understands OSHA reporting guidelines for employee injuries and manages OSHA reporting data. - Work cooperatively and jointly with team members to provide quality customer service in a positive and professional manner. - Implement Atlantic Training and Safety Plans including required industry and company programs. - Train, coach, evaluate, and develop employees in accordance with established procedures. - Analyzes and evaluates training requirements. Researches, writes, and creates new training materials based on facility needs. Seeks approval from Corporate Risk & Safety. - Distribute, and document distribution, of all prescribed company training and safety materials as applicable. - Write and distribute local safety and training notices as directed by the General Manager. Seeks approval from Corporate Risk & Safety. - Conduct regular safety and environmental site audits to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws. - Maintain applicable site training records and internal quality assurance inspections. - Communicate safety and training issues to the General Manager. - When needed, perform all duties and responsibilities of a Line Service Technician or Customer Service Representative, as needed. - Be qualified to operate all aircraft ground support equipment as needed. - Conduct post-accident/post-incident safety reviews of practices and employees involved. Report findings and make recommendations to the General Manager on appropriate level of discipline. - Assist Line Service Supervisors in performance improvement plans for underperforming employees and provide correction action recommendations to General Manager. - Procure, inventory, and distribute personal protective equipment to Line Service personnel. - Actively monitor Line Service performance and develop group training sessions as needed. - Communicate good housekeeping practices and uniform standards to new hire employees. - Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required. - Be thoroughly familiar with site SPCC Plan and spill response/reporting requirements. We are proud to be an EEO/Females/Minorities/Veterans/Disabled employer We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance testing Qualified applications with criminal history will be considered for employment Qualifications EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS - Three (3) years of Atlantic Line Service experience or relative FBO experience. - General Industry OSHA regulation knowledge - Current ACE Certification or achieved within first 90 days - Tow Certified or achieved within first 90 days - Aptitude in supervising and developing staff. - Good communication skills, both written and oral. - Good organizational skills. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. - Good customer relations skills required. - Valid state driver's license and at least 18 years of age.
