We Are Hiring: Surgical Assistant - ProHealth Care CVOR - 1.0 FTE Schedule: Hours are Mon - FriCall 1-2 nights per week. Weekend/holiday rotationCVOR experience preferred Pay: From $27.85/hour (Increases with experience) In a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. The OR suite also includes a newly built Hybrid OR and a fully integrated Minimally Invasive Robotic room. Working under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures. You will possess advanced expertise in the theory and application of sterile technique and aseptic technique and combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of the invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. What You Will Need:
  • Graduate of a Surgical Tech program and a two year surgical first assist program or an accredited NBSTA/CSFA/SA program. Military training may be considered
  • 5 years of experience working as a Surgical Assistant in lieu of formal education
