who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and
evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an
inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in
delivery of care to a primarily adult population.--Analyzes
assessment data to determine the diagnoses or the issues.
Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the
patient or the situation. Develops a plan that prescribes
strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes. Evaluates
progress toward the attainment of outcomes.Contributes to a work
environment conducive to the education of healthcare professionals.
Uses creativity and innovation in nursing practice to improve care
delivery. Uses the PDSA model to improve the quality of nursing
practice and outcomes. Consistently responds to patient call
lights/needs in a timely manner. Seeks continuous improvement in
communication and conflict resolution skills. Conveys information
to patients, families, the interprofessional team, and others in
communication formats that promote accuracy. Discloses observations
or concerns related to hazards and errors in care or practice
environment to the appropriate level. Maintains communication with
