Job Description:
Job Description Medical Director Prairie Animal Hospital has
been serving Lake Country in the Waukesha/nCounty community for
over 40 years. Located in North Prairie, Wisconsin,/nPrairie Animal
Hospital provides primary care, referral services, and
limited/nemergency services for a population of approximately
100,000 in the surrounding/nareas. Our Managing Veterinarian is
given the authority to provide medical/nleadership for the
hospital, manage Associate Veterinarians, lead and coach/nsupport
staff, and ensure regulatory compliance relating to the practice
of/nveterinary medicine. Our Managing Veterinarian is also a key
part of creating/nan environment of teamwork in which quality
medicine and exceptional client/nservice are delivered. To
provide/nquality medicine, we are equipped with: /n - 3 exam rooms,
2 table treatment/n areas, with a spacious and bright surgery suite
/n - Digital dental radiograph /n - Digital radiography /n -
Updated dental machine /n - Complete Pharmacy /n - Full in-house
Idexx laboratory /n - Electronic/n medical records on Cornerstone
(PIMS) /n - Long-term and trained support staff /n - We/n offer the
latest technology in online booking and online pharmacy for our/n
clients. /n - Undergoing/n a full clinic remodel/refresh in
2025/2026, which will include: /n /n - Dental/n Suite, refreshed
Lobby, 2 additional exam rooms, new pharmacy area,/n additional
workspaces, remodeled doctor's office with our own private/n
workstation, new break room, and refreshed administration office
with/n private workstation. /n /n We/noffer an attractive

Veterinary Medicine (DVM)/n degree, or equivalent, from an
accredited university /n - Licensure in good standing to/n practice
in the state of Wisconsin /n - Commitment to practicing the
highest/n standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of
ethics /n - Demonstrates excellent verbal and/n written
communication skills /n - Delegates tasks and achieves results/n
with hospital team members /n - Makes decisions confidently and/n
effectively /n - Leads employees by coaching,/n correcting,
developing, and motivating them to achieve success /n - Manages
time and tasks appropriately /n - Models a professional and
courteous/n manner with staff and clients /n North Prairie is in
the heart of Lake Country, Wisconsin, with over 140/nsurrounding
lakes. It is just outside of Waukesha and close to
Milwaukee,/nOconomowoc, and Delafield, and just 45 minutes from
Madison. Being in the/nSouthern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State
Forest, there are numerous/nhiking and biking trails as well as
historic sites to explore. Lake Country offers a country feel with
a good residential housing/nmarket and great school systems.
Driving to the practice, you will see small/nfarms, horse stables,
