Schedule: /n This is a part-time, FTE .80, 1st shift position.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, varying start times between 7:45
a.m. and 9 a.m., 8 hour shifts. Hours may vary based on department
needs. You will float to the UW Health Clinics. /n Pay: /n /n -
External hires may be eligible for up to a $2,000 sign on bonus. /n

Assistant – Float to: /n /n - Perform standardized and specialized
phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages and ensure proper
patient identification and specimen labeling. /n - Complete
specimen receiving and processing, load them onto instruments or
perform the kit testing, and associated instrument maintenance
(temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing,
mailing, faxing). /n - Patient check-in and order entry of
laboratory tests in the laboratory information system. /n -
Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists,
clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients. /n /n At UW

Minimum – High school diploma or equivalent. /n Preferred –
Completion of accredited Phlebotomy Training program and clinical
rotation. /n Work Experience: /n Minimum – Six Months of Phlebotomy
and Specimen Processing Experience /n Preferred – One year of
experience in phlebotomy and processing /n Certifications: /n
Minimum – /n Preferred – Phlebotomist (American Society for
Clinical Pathology) or equivalent or /n Medical Laboratory
Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical
