Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Position: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Facility: UnityPoint Health - Meriter Hospital Duration: 13 Weeks Start date: 02/02/2026 Location: 202 S Park St, Madison, WI 53715 PR: $23.5/hr on W2 $1304/week Stipend Weekly Gross Pay: $2150/ Week Schedule: 7 pm to 7 am Weekends: Every other Calls: No Job Description The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Labor and Delivery provides direct support to obstetric and surgical teams during labor, delivery, and operative procedures. This role ensures a safe, sterile environment and assists physicians and nurses during cesarean sections, emergency obstetric procedures, and related surgical interventions. The CST plays a critical role in patient safety, efficiency, and quality of care in the Labor and Delivery unit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain a sterile field for labor and delivery surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and emergency OB surgeries - Assemble, check, and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures - Assist obstetricians during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies - Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow - Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps in accordance with hospital policy - Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping - Handle specimens correctly and ensure proper labeling and transport - Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms after procedures Requirement - Minimum of two (2) years of recent Labor and Delivery experience - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) - Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required) - Ability and willingness to float to the Postpartum unit as needed to support departmental operations 3B Healthcare Inc.
