University Medical Center summary: The Pediatric Pulmonology
Physician at Rush University Medical Center provides expert care
for children with complex respiratory conditions, both inpatient
and outpatient. This academic role involves mentoring medical
students and residents, advancing clinical medicine, and
participating in research collaborations. The position supports
patient access across Chicagoland and contributes to a nationally
recognized pediatric pulmonary program within an elite academic
health system. The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric
Pulmonology at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally
recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching
hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, is seeking a
full-time BC/BE Pediatric Pulmonology Physician to join their
faculty at Rush’s downtown campus in Chicago, IL. The Division of
Pediatric Pulmonology at Rush provides comprehensive care for
infants, children and adolescents with pulmonary disorders at Rush
University Medical Center and Rush Copley Medical center in Aurora,
IL. The Section has a bronchoscopy service and a state-of-the-art
pediatric pulmonary function lab with facilities for exercise
challenge, plethysmography and impulse oscillometry This dynamic
role offers the opportunity to expand patient access to expert
pulmonary care throughout the Chicagoland region, offering advanced
care for complex asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, congenital
lung diseases, neuromuscular disorders and cystic fibrosis.
Position Details Provide direct patient care for complex
respiratory conditions in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric
pulmonology settings Supervise and mentor medical students and

pulmonology Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of
Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required Eligible to be licensed to
practice Medicine in the state of Illinois required Completion of
an accredited Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship program Board
Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology Willing and
able to travel between clinical locations to serve our growing
patient population The Rush University Children's Hospital (RUCH )
is part of the Rush University Medical Center (RUMC). It is an
academic medical center that has 110 pediatric beds. RUMC is a
671-bed hospital serving adults and children in downtown Chicago,
Illinois. It includes the 58- adult bed Johnston R. Bowman Health
Center, Rush University and Rush Health. Rush University is home to

compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive
programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the
wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation
decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills;
relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and
licensure; primary work location; and other business and
organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time,
1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be
applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as
sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
