Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Stevens Point, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,308 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER (Emergency Room) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Weekend Only - Friday - Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Experience in CAH or similar setting; must be willing to work inpatient medical-surgical and flex to do so Description: The position requires providing care in the emergency room. The department treats approximately 30 patients per day. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-4. Common diagnoses include cardiac, diabetic, stroke, tick bites, respiratory issues, and wounds. Registered Nurses must be skilled in working with limited resources. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to work in both emergency and medical-surgical settings. Common medication drips include Heparin and Diltiazem. There is 24/7 ED provider coverage and a PA from Monday to Friday. Charge RNs take assignments and assist with patient care. An ED/HUC tech assists with labs, IVs, EKGs, and patient care during the dayshift. Respiratory therapy is not onsite; RNs are responsible for specific procedures. RNs are also required to read their own cardiac strips. X-ray and CT capabilities are available 24/7. Registered Nurses or techs draw labs, and lab staff picks them up. The schedule may include shifts primarily on weekends. There is a requirement to work three weekends and three holidays per rotation. Floating between the emergency department and inpatient medical-surgical unit is required. All candidates must comply with organizational policies and procedures. Candidates should be prepared to clock in and out on site. Any previous employment with the organization must be disclosed.
