ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required • Can be low censused and put on call with call back minimum of 2 hours • Work on MAP Unit (Medical and Pediatrics) treating adults only - no pediatric patients • Typical patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:6-7 • Treat patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, and infectious diseases • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS • Minimum 2 years experience required, Trauma level II experience highly preferred • EPIC charting experience required • Must be outside 50 mile radius of facility • Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred • Any color scrubs acceptable • Must demonstrate hard work ethic, resilience, flexibility, and positive attitude • Clinical interview required Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides a wide range of inpatient services including trauma care, medical and surgical services.
