Job Description:

part of our transformative team as an RN in the Post-Anesthesia
Care Unit (PACU)/Recovery. Ascension is dedicated to pioneering
innovations in health care and provides compassionate, personalized
patient care to our communities. As a PACU Recovery RN, you will
play a critical role in managing patient recovery post-surgery,
ensuring safe and effective care transitions from anesthesia back
to consciousness, and supporting patient recovery. Monitor
post-operative patients' vital signs, assessing levels of
consciousness, and managing effective pain relief Administer
medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or
reactions Assist in the implementation of patient care plans and
with interventions as needed Provide emotional support and
education to patients and their families about post-surgical care
guidelines Ensure that all medical equipment used in monitoring
patients is functioning correctly Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to facilitate comprehensive patient care
Document patient status and the care provided in patient records
comprehensively and efficiently Strong skills in patient assessment
Proficiency in managing IVs, drains, and other post-surgical
equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability
to work efficiently under pressure Skillful in pain management and
pharmacology Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to
practice in the state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification preferred
