Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. /n /n Minimum Requirements: /n - Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. - Current Illinois Respiratory Care license in good standing. Must have IL RRT lic upon submission. - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. - Neonatal ICU experience required. Experience in neonatal respiratory care, ventilator management, and neonatal resuscitation preferred. - One year experience as an RRT; NICU-specific experience strongly preferred. - Certifications: BLS required. ACLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred. - Ability to work night shifts and every third weekend as scheduled. Candidate must be able to provide documentation of required certifications upon request. /n /n Assignment Details /n - Facility type: Hospital. - Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist — Neonatal Intensive Care. - Shift name: Nights. - Shift details: Nights 1800-0700 (3x12). - Schedule requirement: Every third weekend required. - Start-to-end assignment: 13 week assignment. /n /n Location Highlights /n Rockford, IL offers nearby outdoor recreation and cultural attractions within short drives.
