FTE: 0.400000 1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits Shift: 1 Responsibilities: Functions as a theory-based expert with targeted patient populations. Serves as the expert resource for acute, rehabilitative, and outpatient care of patients with complex wounds, ostomies, fistulae, dermal ulcers, tubes, incontinence and other appropriate wound and ostomy issues. This service is accomplished through the roles of direct care, educator, consultant and researcher. This registered nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a targeted population. Other duties as assigned. Summary: Experience within the past five years in either acute care, long term care, or home care is required. Two years experience as a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) is preferred. WOCN certification or in process preferred. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and expertise in the care of this targeted population is required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Board Certified as WOC (ET) Nurse (CWOCN) by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) is required within in six (6) months of hire.
