This position is based in our Mount Prospect office and travels
daily to other locations within your assigned geographic region.
REPORTS TO: Practice Operations Manager POSITION SUMMARY We are
looking for a Patient Services Specialist (PSS) will continue to be
responsible for the front desk duties of a Patient Service
Representative (PSR) and will provide PSR coverage for a
geographical area instead of being assigned to one POD or location.
Schedules may vary day to day depending on the needs of the
organization, the geographic area can include 5 – 10 locations
across multiple pods, and assignments will be made by the
Operations Manager. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet patients
Check in patients and assist with individual concerns, as they
arise Collect appropriate information including insurance overview,
co-pay and deductible assignment and open balances In addition, the
Patient Services Specialist will have responsibilities to provide
training support to new and current staff, support the integration
of new locations into the company, along with other special
projects and duties as assigned. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS/
EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLS High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position preferred - but willing
to train the right individual! Good verbal and written
communication skills Basic knowledge of computers and office
equipment Patient-focused with the ability to work independently
Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
SCHEDULING Must be flexibility from Monday-Friday with alternating
Saturday availability to match the practice hours of operation.
