Meijer is seeking a dedicated Overnight Stocking Manager to oversee the stocking, organization, and presentation of merchandise during overnight hours in our dynamic retail environment. Established in 1934, Meijer is a premier supercenter chain with a robust presence in the Midwest, offering a range of products from groceries to home goods. This role is crucial for maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the stores readiness for a productive day ahead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of stock associates, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Manage and train a team of stock associates to ensure efficient restocking of all departments. Oversee the organization and layout of store merchandise to ensure compliance with Meijer’s standards and planograms. Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure accuracy and adequacy of stock. Implement effective stock management and handling procedures to reduce damage and loss. Schedule staff shifts and assign duties to ensure full coverage and operational efficiency during overnight hours. Monitor and uphold safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Report on stocking progress and issues to store management, suggesting improvements where necessary. Strong leadership and management skills Efficient in inventory and stock room management Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficient in using inventory management software Able to work independently and make quick decisions overnight Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k OSHA safety certification desirable Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management beneficial
