Job Description Job Description Description: JOB SUMMARY: The
Shipping and Receiving Manager oversees warehouse inventory,
supervises forklift drivers, and the production team to ensure
efficient, safe, and accurate handling of donated items. This role
focuses on optimizing storage space, maintaining product flow, and
supporting overall warehouse and production operations. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in training, supervising, and
coaching PC (Processing Center) personnel while implementing
Company Policies as established by the Store Committee and BOD
(Board of Directors) and work rules outlined in the Employee
Handbook. Make discipline recommendations to the PC Manager and
SDRO/ADRO (Senior Director of Retail Operations/Associate Director
of Retail Operations) Manages departmental structure, development,
and proper production of all thrift store merchandise and vendor
product Ensure that all found money and accidental donation
processes/procedures are followed Plans and manages projects
related to departmental functions. Manages and supports change with
direct reports Respond appropriately and creatively to the
challenges of operating a profitable facility via sales promotion
and expense controls. Oversee the supervision of the entire
processing team and maintain proper communication and support,
holding weekly meetings by department Maintain a pleasant,
professional, service-oriented environment by modeling expected
behavior for other employees and promoting a sense of teamwork and
good morale among the staff Make reasonable attempts to solve
problems arising from customers, volunteers, clients, donors, and
staff while utilizing de-escalation skills. Any unresolved problems
are to be referred to the PC Manager and or the SDRO/ADRO Monitor
staffing levels and make recommendations for hiring new employees
to the PC Manager. All offers of employment must have specific
authorization by the Director of Retail Operations Communicate and
represent the interests and needs of the facility to the PC Manager
Monitor and adjust warehouse layouts to maximize inventory space
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of forklift
drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods
within the Processing Center Maintaining visual checks of
buildings, grounds, and equipment - communicating issues to the
Facilities Manager and/or Safety Manager to provide a safe and
clean working environment that complies with all state and local
building and fire codes while implementing safety policies through
training, reporting safety hazards, and correcting unsafe employee
practices Act as a champion of safety in the workplace, supporting
programs, training, and tools that keep employees engaged in safety
initiatives, effectively meeting compliance requirements, and
communicating issues or hazards to Senior leadership Communicate
facility maintenance problems to the PC Manager and Facilities
Manager to provide a safe and clean working environment that
complies with all state and local building and fire codes Work with
the Safety Manager to implement safety policies through training,
reporting safety hazards, and correcting unsafe employee practices
Oversee the safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous
materials in compliance with all regulatory and company safety
standards. Maintain accurate inventory reports and seasonal storage
issues, working with the PC Manager and Retail Operations team to
maximize sales and distribution of all inventories. Supervise the
orderly flow of work between stations in the Processing Center and
the shipping of resalable merchandise to retail stores. Attend
management meetings as scheduled by the Senior Director of Retail
Operations/Associate Director of Retail Operations in the PC
Manager's absence. Work hand in hand with staff to maximize
production efficiencies and promote teamwork within the facility –
ensure daily deployment meets facility and store needs Assist PC
Manager with employee reviews and formal coaching expectations
Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as
assigned by the PC Manager Other Primary Duties Provide Human
Resources support and information to directors, managers, and staff
Collaborate with staff on human resource staffing projects and
committees Assist the PC Manager in payroll preparation – employee
scheduling, approving PTO requests, keeping accurate time records,
and documentation in accordance with the Attendance Policy. Noting
FMLA, Sick time, and reasons for absence or lateness in the
timecard Assist staff with requests and questions regarding
Paylocity or the applicable HRIS platform Support efforts to create
a more inclusive and equitable organization. Participate in
teamwork and collaboration, listen, foster dialogue, and facilitate
joint problem-solving while supporting an inclusive and equitable
organization. Adhere to the Safeguarding Policy by ensuring timely
completion of mandatory training, staying updated on relevant
training modules, and undergoing the necessary background checks to
maintain compliance. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS & KEYS TO SUCCESS
This position requires frequent communication and assistance among
numerous departments. Therefore, this individual must: Be able to

can adapt to ever-changing needs and priorities. Possess the

confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and ability to set
priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrate the ability to

ranges of ability, ethnicities, and races. OR display a willingness
to communicate and interact effectively with individuals from
diverse cultures, varying abilities, ethnicities, and races.
Demonstrate the implementation of best practices as required by the
SVdP Safeguarding policy when interacting with children and
vulnerable adults. For the safety of the clients SVdP serves and as
per the Safeguarding Policy, this position requires successfully
completing a criminal background check. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS The
mental and physical requirements described here are representative

duties of this job: A minimum of one year of forklift experience is
required Must pass a pre-employment drug test and adhere to all
safety-sensitive position requirements to maintain a safe and
compliant work environment Knowledge of POS systems, Windows
operating system, Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
required. Typing 55 words per minute is required. Employee must be
able to follow instructions and work autonomously on assigned job
duties Employee must be able to fulfill schedule requirements and
work assigned shifts consistently and reliably Demonstrated success
working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Continual
learner, willing to seek out additional opportunities to gain
experience, knowledge, and skills. Must be able to manage deadlines
