In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely and safe delivery of more than 150,000 food and food-related products to our diverse range of esteemed customers, from burgeoning family-owned eateries to well-known national chains. This position combines driving proficiency with physical activity and customer service skills, embodying the face of our business when interacting with clients. Operate a Class A CDL truck to transport goods to various customer locations, ensuring timely delivery. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or discrepancies. Adhere to all safety regulations and standards, both on the road and during loading and unloading processes. Manage documentation related to each delivery, including bills of lading, invoices, and payment collection when applicable. Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers during deliveries, resolving any on-the-spot issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. Handle products and deliveries with care to prevent damage and ensure accurate order fulfillment. Stay in constant communication with the dispatcher and logistics team to report updates or receive instructions. Proficient in operating Class A CDL vehicles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions. Capable of extensive physical activity, including lifting, moving, and carrying heavy loads. Knowledge in managing route navigation and time efficiently. Ability to adhere to prescribed routes, schedules, safety protocols, and transportation laws.
