Job Description:
McLane Company, a nationally recognized leader in supply chain
solutions, is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as
Driver Trainees. Our Trainees are prepared through a rigorous
training program to handle the demands of route delivery driving
and customer service. As a Driver Trainee, you will gain firsthand
experience in operating delivery vehicles under expert supervision
and receive intensive training in safety, route planning, and
customer interaction. Upon successful completion of the training
program, trainees will graduate to full-time drivers, representing
McLane in providing excellent service to our broad network of
customers including convenience stores, mass merchants, drug
stores, and chain restaurants. Attend and successfully complete
company-sponsored training courses on driving skills, vehicle
maintenance, and safety protocols. Assist in loading and unloading
merchandise while learning inventory control and delivery
processes. Perform daily vehicle inspection checks and report any
issues to supervisors. Observe and assist experienced drivers in
route planning, navigation, and customer deliveries. Follow all
state and national safety regulations and standards. Develop strong
customer service skills including effective communication and
problem-solving. Gradually take on more responsibilities and
driving tasks as skills and confidence build up. Basic knowledge of
transportation and logistics principles. Good physical condition
and stamina, capable of lifting heavy objects. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and
operate delivery vehicles safely. Attention to detail and
commitment to punctuality. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance

Completion of McLane Company’s Driver Certification Program.
