Job Description Job Description Packager I: Rockford, Illinois Our customer in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Packager I candidates to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Packager I, you will be responsible for packaging products, assembling crates and boxes, performing light assembly work, and preparing items for shipment while meeting company standards and production needs. Responsibilities of the Packager I: Assemble crates, boxes, and packaging materials according to specifications. Perform light assembly work prior to packaging, ensuring product safety and compliance. Inspect products and packaging for defects to ensure company standards are met. Maintain an organized and clean work environment while following safety protocols. Assist with loading and unloading packaged items. Flex across departments, including occasional work in the Blackening & Assembly department. Document daily packaging activities and material usage in the ERP system. Any/all other duties as assigned. Packager I Requirements and Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience. Capable of using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and nail guns. Ability to read and write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions. Pay for Packager I: $17/hour.
