Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will work to ensure sales orders flow cleanly to enable delivery of the right material to the right place at the right time to meet our customers' needs. Acting as the single point of contact for communications relating to customer sales orders, the CSR is the liaison between our outside sales representatives and our Operations teams and collaborates closely with the Materials Planning, Logistics & Transportation, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Billing Services to ensure successful execution of business. This role requires a sense of urgency and attention to detail to react to shifting job scope and timing in the building products industry.

  • Deliver a high level of service to customers, sales and other teammates
  • Answer questions related to pricing, availability, quoting, logistics, warranties
  • Efficiently respond to customer inquiries, answer application questions or escalate to Senior Customer Service Rep, Sales, Technical Support or appropriate function
  • Coordinate and enter customer orders and returns for various business units (Spray Foam, Direct, Dealer/Distributor) 
  • Create and maintain effective relationships with Area Sales Managers and Independent Representatives
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduling, Accounts Receivable, Shipping/Logistics and Purchasing departments regarding customer requirements, sales orders and returns
  • Process credit card payments, initiate new customer setups and credit applications
  • Prepare and coordinate daily shipping documents for regional warehouses
  • Maintain knowledge of item portfolio and attend product training sessions
  • Offer product suggestions, alternates and add-on items when reviewing sales orders
  • Provide solutions and first-line technical support for end-users, retail consumers, dealers, etc.
  • Ensure quality assurance procedures, processes and policies are followed
  • Organize and maintain required records and documentation

  • Order management experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP or equivalent ERP system 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to build trust and form productive relationships within all levels of an organization? 
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience required 
  • Possess superior customer service skills and work with minimal supervision 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention detail is required 
  • A strong technical aptitude is preferred 
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must possess a positive attitude and be a team player
