GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Quad/Graphics' IT team oversees our company's vast technology infrastructure. Our service and support are the backbone that enables every other department to function productively. Infrastructure Administrator is an entry- to mid-entry level position responsible for implementing and supporting compute hosting technology solutions at a beginner to intermediate level. The Engineer is focused on core IT knowledge with specialization in compute infrastructure (servers, storage, backups, data centers). This role works tightly with business partners and developers, while bridging the technology gap to IT operations. This employee will implement and maintain solutions, create documentation, and help provide 7x24 support. We are moving from a siloed environment to adopting DevOps principles and practices and this position is a change-agent for that transition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Works as a part of a System team for an IT Domain
  
• Responsible for production systems, servers, and all compute infrastructure (monitoring, uptime, performance)
  
• Implement and maintain enterprise caliber compute solutions
  
• Rack and stack equipment in data centers
  
• Partner with Developers and Business Stakeholders
  
• Maintains documentation/SOPs for implementation and daily operations
  
• Has a basic understanding of infrastructure technologies at a general level
  
• Can deep dive on specific technology and business process
  
• Help provide world-class 7x24 support
  
  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  
  • 
    
  • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent related experience
    
  • Experience working with servers, virtualization, storage systems, and other related compute infrastructure
    
  • Fast learner
    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    
  • Experience with one (or more) of the following:
    
    • 
      
    • Enterprise storage and backup solutions
      
    • Maintain data center hardware
      
    • Windows Server (2019 and newer) and/or Linux (EL8 or above)
      
    • Containers and Orchestration (Kubernetes, Dockers)
      
    • Systems Configuration (Puppet, Ansible)
