• Must be able to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
  
• Must be able to complete an in-scope (per current DoD 6-year reinvestigation requirement), favorable, ST5 investigation (including SBPR, PPR, T5R, or current enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) / Continuous Vetting (CV) program), adjudicated for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (DoD CAF) without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of performance. Must maintain the required security level for the duration of the contract.
  
• Must be eligible to access security clearance databases such as DISS and NBIS.
  
• Must possess a TC/SCI Security Clearance.
  
  Experience Required
  
  • 
    
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a Security position for the U.S. Department of Defense.
    
  • Five years of military experience.
    
    Job Objective
    Under a five-year contract, the Security Specialist will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope includes providing professional security services at MARCENT located on MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, supporting command-wide mission execution.
    Responsibilities
    
    • 
      
    • Support the Command Security Management Office.
      
    • Assist personnel in performing security tasks.
      
    • Handle, mark, store, safeguard, and destroy classified and Controlled Unclassified Information.
      
    • Verify security clearances, initiate visit requests, and assist with security clearance procedures.
      
    • Prepare reviews and assessments for government approval.
      
    • Respond to security alarms at MARCENT when primary security personnel are unavailable.
      
    • Follow NISPOM guidelines when performing security duties.
