Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Technician -
for a 6 month contract to hire; - working at their state of the art
location in Waukesha, WI. - This is a rapidly -growing company with
opportunities - -for advancement. - -JOB DESCRIPTION / INFORMATION
Headquartered in Waukesha, WI, our client designs, manufactures,
and services innovative disinfection technology. Their products are
used in a variety of industries, including Healthcare, Hospitality,
Education, Law Enforcement, Sports and Fitness, and others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, operate, test, and maintain production test equipment
and test methods; produce and maintain documentation
- Test the performance of electromechanical assemblies; analyze
and record test results; prepare written documentation
- Use specialized instruments to measure parts and ensure they
meet specifications
- Inspect parts for defects; assist in root cause failure
analysis; work as part of a cross functional team to diagnose and
address product performance issues
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to
assemble parts, machines, and other equipment
- Install electronic components using soldering equipment and
hand tools
- Assure process quality by assessing process capability and
establishing standards
- Assist in development and execution of verification and
validation plans
- Cable and harness design knowledge; standard connectors,
conductors, other components, and assembly processes
- Circuit board design knowledge
- Adhere to an ISO 13485 quality management system, applicable
government regulations, and applicable industry and business
standards
- Make recommendations for continual improvement
- Perform other duties as directed REQUIRED SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or higher in electronic or mechanical
technology, or related work experience
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills;
ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently and
proactively
- Ability to work as part of a team; interpersonal communication
skills and listening ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; high attention
to detail
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills;
ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic and
fast-paced environment without a lot of direction or oversight;
ability to adapt quickly to changes
- Highly motivated, results oriented, driven
- Pleasant and friendly disposition
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a
professional manner
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex diagrams
and schematics
- Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools
like soldering equipment, wire strippers, electrical test
equipment
- Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare
spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power
Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends. PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Linux, BSD, or Windows/DOS "command line
- Experience/coursework in Programming concepts
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering/equipment
experience at a previous position
- Experience with bench and automated test equipment (DMM,
Oscilloscope, Arduino, Raspberry PI)
- Experience in medical technology, medical device, or similar
technology field
- Experience with ISO, FDA, GMP and other regulatory, compliance
or certification standards PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and
other office equipment
- Physical ability to kneel, bend and perform light lifting
- Ability to write and speak clearly using the English language
to convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels
both in person and over the telephone
