SUMMARY This position will play a key role in ensuring Waukesha
Plant compliance to specifications and procedures as well as
accuracy of the processes used within the manufacturing of
transformers. The Quality Process Technician assumes responsibility
for maintaining and monitoring the output data of the controls
establish by the Quality Engineers, Engineering, and Manufacturing
Engineering so that the plant continues to operate within the
parameters specified by these groups. This position assists the
Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering, and Engineering in
establishing these controls, and is instrumental in overseeing the
data collection. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct internal audits of shop and office processes
- Assist with the management of controlled documents
- Supports in ensuring compliance to the established Quality
Systems and policies
- Assists with internal compliance inspections and audits
- Collects product and process data
- Reviews, validates and distributes Quality and Non Conformance
system data
- Maintain customer documentation and databases to validate
current processes
- Perform process verification testing
- Verifies and assists in calibrations as necessary
- Maintain contamination controls
- Able to write and revise Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
- Project assistant to Continuous Improvement (CI) and Six
Sigma
- Work with shop floor supervisors on reporting of controls and
alerting when processes are shifting, works with Quality team
members facilitating projects
- Clarify and establish quality methods and process review
- Project support to Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode
Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Problem
Solving and Decision Making
- Advises and answer questions on Quality data collection
updates, works with statistical process control tools
- Performs special tests such as Karl Fischer moisture count,
airborne particle counts, dew point measurements, electrical tests
(ratios, meggar, hi-pot) etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with people cross functionally
- Eagerness to learn
- Ability to work with others outside the company on sensitive
issues EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequired Education / Experience
- Associate Degree
- 5 years in a quality backgroundPreferred Education / Experience
- Experience working in manufacturing production environment
- Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management or Supply
Chain Management
- Progressively responsible experience in a relevant
